Guide to T-Shirt Style

"The difference between style and fashion is quality." - Giorgio Armani

The very first impression you are going to give to another person is what based on what you wear. Be it a T-shirt or a tux, if you got style handled, chances are people are going to have a better first impression.

Rules to wearing T-shirts are very simple and yet most people commit faux pas related to T-shirts. Here are the following rules to T-shirt wearing:

1. If you are skinny, do not wear body hugging T-shirts.
This is the most commonly made mistake by small guys. Body hugging shirts are meant to emphasize your physique. So if you’re small and thin, congrats on just emphasizing that fact. Wear a T-shirt that is not too tight fitting and gives some allowance. If you are muscular, by all means wear body hugging T-shirts. You earned it Show Off.

2. If you are thin, do not wear plain T-shirts.
Another mistake most oftenly seen. Everyone knows the guy that doesn’t work out, wearing a plain colored T-shirt with a pair of jeans. Classic. Thin guys should not wear plain T-shirts. Once again, plain T-shirts emphasize your body structure. On the other hand, if you are muscular, then by all means wear it. The plain T-shirt emphasizes your muscular definition.

3. If you are muscular, do not match skinny jeans with your T-shirts
This one is a killer. Ever seen a muscular guy with scrawny legs? Or a skinny jeans that looks like it is about to explode? Skinny jeans and muscular people don’t go together, it makes them look funny. But if you are lean or thin, go ahead, skinny jeans would look great on you.

4. Thin: Get shirts with bigger sleeves. Muscular: Get shirts with smaller sleeves.
Smaller sleeves emphasize arm size. If you are thin, bigger sleeves would make your arms look bigger. Just don’t overdo it. If you are muscular, smaller sleeves would draw more attention to your arms and make you look bigger and leaner.

5. V neck or Round neck?
If you are lean or muscular, you can fit in both. The thin folks should opt for more of the round neck.

6. Shirt length
If you are muscular, opt for a shorter shirt. If you are thin, get a longer one. Just don’t over exaggerate. The shirt must be long enough so that when you sit and bend over, it does not show your butt. If it is longer, it must not be long enough to make you look like a rapper wannabe, unless your whole gig is hip-hop.

7. Cutting
T-shirts have various cuttings too. A straight one is the safest bet. A tighter cutting would fit muscular guys. Thin guys should always opt for straight cuts.

8. Stripes
Horizontal stripes make you look broader in size. Vertical stripes make you look thinner and taller. Muscular guys should opt more for vertical stripes if the latter over emphasizes their body. Thinner guys should go for horizontal stripes.

9. Shirt Colour
Darker colours make you look thinner. Bright colours make you look bigger. If you are dark opt wear more brighter colours and vice versa.

10. Shirt Design
This one is one of the most important and complicated aspect.

Ever noticed how girls these days like to wear shirts that read: “Stop staring at me. I know I am hot.”? And the worse part is, they are not really hot… For the information ladies, men do not like shirts like that. It shows immaturity and attention getting behavior. Guys that are mature would tend to not go for that kind of girl.

Messages and designs on your shirt convey messages about you to other people. If your message is offensive, it puts people away. Messages that involves vulgarities puts people off. Messages that involves degrading yourself also puts people off, eg: “Mister Masturbate T-shirt”. This signals to people that you are weak, probably desperate, not getting the women he wants, doesn’t have his act together.

Messages that involves sex puts people off too. Picture of sexual positions, or “Honey are you wet?”, “I can fuck your brains out” kind of thing totally puts people off. The best one I ever know was this guy in the supermart who wore this shirt which says: “A thousand of my potential children died on your daughter’s face last night.” And he met his girlfriend’s folks in the supermart. Epic.

Surprisingly, messages that give sexual connotations are well received. Sexual connotations mean giving sexual messages subtlely. For example: Women dressed skimply, a men kissing a women, figures and silhouettes of women. T-shirts that read “You are so going to get it.” Great.
Want evidence of it working? Everyone likes T-shirts from French Connection. FCUK T-shirts were a big hit, simple because it was a sexual connotation, so close to explicit but also subtle.

Messages that have meaningful quotes, religious connections show people that you are connected to the higher power. But don’t overdo it. If you wear “religious” shirts everyday, you give people an impression that you are totally engrossed in religion. I don’t mean that being involved in religion is bad. But women and people want to know that there are more aspects to you.

The best bet would be to wear shirts that represent you. If you are involved in music, wear shirts that have a guitar on it. If you are involved in sports, wear shirts that give sport messages, eg. Nike. Try to mix and match. Don’t overdo anything. Eg. Wear music on 3 days, religious stuff on 1 day, maybe sports on 1day. Variety but consistent messages is a key. Don’t send false messages like eg. wearing hip-hop when you don’t even like hip-hop. It would only show people that you are attention seeking and needy.

Remember that the shirt shows who you are first hand. So make it a good one.

“First impressions are often the truest, as we find (not infrequently) to our cost, when we have been wheedled out of them by plausible professions or studied actions. A man's look is the work of years; it is stamped on his countenance by the events of his whole life, nay, more, by the hand of nature, and it is not to be got rid of easily.” - William Hazlitt

Places to Meet Attractive Women

This is for the request for many guys I know. It will do you good.

For Christ's sake. For those people that say they can't seem to find attractive women in Singapore, I am posting this for your own good.

There are extremely hot women in Singapore. I am serious. For those that know me, you will know my Godlike standards for women. I like hot and intelligent women. If they don't have any of these traits, then they don't stand a chance. AT ALL.

Ok to the topic. It is really easy. Hot and attractive women are easy to find. It all boils down to what kind of women you want and whether you know where to find them.

I love intelligent women. So I definitely make a trip down to the library to pick up some. You can find alot of them there (provided at the right time).

Imagine this. Head down to the psychology section, meet this attractive girl and ask her for some psychological advice. And then start debating with her about Carl Young and Freud, wala. Get her number.

If you want sporty women, hit the gym. But the best bet (in Singapore) is still the beach or a park where alot of these women frequent to jog.

Get my drift? Go to places where the women you want may be and you will find them.

2nd tactic is to go to places where women gather. Best bets are yoga classes. Women with great respect for their own fitness and bodies are often found there.

With this piece of info, you are one step ahead of scoring. Just remember the C&F bros. And please. Don't qualify her just because she's pretty. Attractive women are everywhere. Remember that you are the selector. Pick an intersting, funny and exciting and PRETTY one.

Just like my buddy Kiat says: "Yeah intelligent is good. Pretty is a bonus. But I want both the prequisite and the bonus." Now that's the way to go my brothers.

Cheers and Best of Luck

Athetism - Am I going towards it?

Anyway kinda happy that I'm updating my blog very regularly these days :) I love this default blogskin.

I used to laugh at athetism. Really... I used to ask them how the fuck do you think the world came out on its own? The Big Bang theory? OMG. Lol naive.

But the more I think about it, I feel like being a free-thinker.

Not because of the many restrictions I see in religion, but I feel many are deluding me from real issues.

No matter how hard I try, God never seems to be in my life. They all tell us to have faith. Yeah. I had enough. Faith, I had faith for way too long. If this is part of his so called big plan, then I really haven seen the fruits for a very long time.

Sometimes I really wonder if I'm a fool, instead of finding concrete answers to my problems, I turn to God. I wonder if he really listens. I know thou shall not doubt him, but he didn't give me anything. No answers, no grace. Just hardcore reality, problems not solved.

Sometimes I do really feel like I got the answer. But in the end, it all turns out the same. The world is still just one fucked up place.

Lol I'm not like a major monster with lots of resentment now. I'm calm and concious of what I'm doing. I just feel that relying on religion for hope isn't what I'm looking for. It may be a crutch for some, but sorry it ain't working for me.

My gf always said that I was created in Heaven, so pure and undeluded. So sad to say that there is no heaven, only Earth. Earth is earth, only 80 years of life here. Live it to the fullest. And yeah perhaps its like what Tabula Rasa suggests, I was brought here as a blank shell, and then filled with all earthly stuff.

Well I'm just considering really. 20 years of going to church, I can't just say that I'll let go. Though I feel exhausted, Jesus has always been a part of my life. After all I'm human.

And yeah to some who know me well personally, yeah I'm pretty ownage already, but It's very unorganized. Just need to organize.

But just to clear things up, I'm not suggesting that we should all throw all the rules and start a havoc party. I still believe in the natural laws of justice and all. I believe in love. But the natural law of survival still applies and is too true to ignore. Perhaps I should just take a break from church for a while and clear things up in my head and then make a clear decision.

Life isn't a flower bed

One of my friends approached me yesterday. Told me he wanna change. He said he will never get what he wants if he continue to be this way.

Which sets me thinking. True, perhaps in my relationship life I already got what I wanted primarily. But I have not got what I want in other areas of my life. I find myself sitting here, feeling the same way I did a year ago.

This is bad, I have not progressed.

I'm still late, finding hard to commit time to do tutorials, still with the same stupid 3.255 GPA, still fucking broke, still not doing my gym.

I'm 21 years old. I realized I cannot really compare myself to my other counterparts. I'm already behind the race.

My dreams will just vanish with age if I don't do something about it. But no matter how hard I try at this level, they just backfire.

Which only leads me to one conclusion. Perhaps my friend is right. Perhaps by forcing myself to change, I can really achieve what I want.

It would be painful and will push me out of my comfort zone. People may not know me anymore, but I'm willing to take the chance.

I need to move on to a whole different level. I only hope those around me will understand. And my friend, though we are experiencing this in a whole different level, believe me, I understand the pain and rage of being stuck here.

But I believe, we'll get out of this.

Saturdays are well... Saturdays

Me and my dad seriously got issues.

I don't see eye to him ever.

Well, what's new?

I'm an adult now. I know what I'm doing. Why can't he understand? If he can't understand my life, so be it. But why must he accuse me of the same things always?

If I'm at the com, it would be a game. Like wake up call? NYP uses the laptop? I need the laptop to study? If he sees me really playing a game, great. Now his claims are validated, just because I decided to take a one hour break from studying.

Never mind. He never understands.

Anyway went out with Bryce and Jov to study at Bishan today. Didn't get much done but sure had fun. Lol just between us, let us pray that "All that have the goods show, and all that don't... Well don't show then" Lol our childhood is traumatized. Anyway it's an internal joke so don't bother trying to decipher.

Just found out that my gf has a gazillion hot (10/10) friends (girls) on facebook. Wth... Well perhaps that's why she always keeps me away from her profile lol. Well... No surprise. Dangerous to keep me there man.

It sure feels good to get it.

And Bryce, JIAYOU! PERSERVERANCE! YOU CAN DO IT!

And yes Pammy baby. I still miss you more than you miss me :P

In Love

Love is not only a feeling. It is committment, decision, concious and unconcious. It is giving and not taking. It does not demand, but gives fully.

How do you know you're in love?

When you think of nothing but her, till it becomes an obsession. When her smile brings colors to your world, and her tears washes the rainbow away.

It is when your love is not reciprocated, but you foolishly give anyway.

Even when you love is rewarded, but you still give the same way and ask nothing in return.

It happens when you think about nothing but her well-bring, her happiness.

It is when you do your every best in everything you do to become the best human being on Earth so that you can better take care of her.

It occurs when you look into her eyes and everything makes sense. Your existence is justified. Enough said.

It is when two becomes one, we know each other and yet anticipate knowing more.

It is when you hold her in your arms and want nothing more in the world.

It is when her imperfections made her perfect for you.

It is when you spin her around in the air and feel like the world is a merry go round.

It is when you told her: "I will take you away from all this. I promise."

It is when you realize that Love is not only about yourself. Its about you and her.

It is when you told her "I love you." And those three words came from the heart.

Turning Tide

Recently feel like the tide is turning again. I'm getting back to my old self. Hopefully the same can happen to my physical self. My aim? To see my six pack once again in 4 months time! Mwahaha!

Have to catch up on all the school I missed. This time I so determined to beat Calculus. I won't be beaten by it like last time. I shall conquer. Lol first step is to take the hypnotic lecturer's teachings into positive notions of learning.

After much thinking, I decided to share much more interesting stuff on my blog to give positive influence to its readers.

Team Innovation

I've been so busy with "Team Innovation" these days. It is like my LIFE now.

The drawback: I'm like 24-7 in front of my com. I haven't really told my parents about it and they think I'm addicted to some game. I kinda give up explainin to them. Everytime I switch on the laptop, they thinkn its some game and I get a scolding for it.

Man... When will they understand? Ever since the last post, I hardly even touched a game. I've been working every night till 5am just for a living. Yes on the computer. To those who think that sitting down and earning money with the computer is easy, it isn't. It is mentally challenging and draining.

For those who don't know what "Team Innovation" is, it is my website designing company. Or rather, it is my team name. Currently I'm still coming out with my company's website so am still very busy. If you guys ever need any website design or a design for your blogs, blogshops, you can look for me. I'll give you a DISCOUNT :)

Currently we are having a promotional package, therefore my team is kinda overloaded. I'm currently looking for another team member. Don't worry, you will be paid. As long as you have a passion for web-designing, is willing to go out of the box, and most importantly be able to work as a team, you can send your resume to me for an interview. Of course, you need to have reasonable web-designing skills.

I QUIT DOTA CHIONGING!

Dear DOTA friends,

This is sad cos I'm getting really good at the game.

But yeah, I'm gonna quit DOTA CHIONGING!

I'm sorry guys. It was really fun playing with you guys, we make a great team. However, I cannot carry on with the game. I just have too many things in my life to concentrate on. I just got a wake up call and if I don't snap out of this now, I never will.

To all my DOTA friends, it was great playing with you guys. Really... We really make an awesome team. But I just have too many personal committments to keep up with. Each game is probably like 45 minutes or so. I can't let 45 minutes of my life be taken up with virtual pride and glory.

Sorry guys that's all I can say. I can only play on weekends and probably a game or two and that's it. And I'm probably not gonna play hardcore in a very very long time to come, perhaps never.

JAI HO!

Not really in a very hyped mood this holidays. I have turned from a sports enthusiast to a hardcore DOTA gamer. I'm kinda feeling the side effects as it starts to consume my life. Nonetheless, I've decided to stop this nonsense.

I'm gonna quit playing DOTA for 5 days as of tommorow and dwelve in my workout and my work. After all, I prefer being a workaholic than a procrastinator.

I have to thank God for making me realize that there are more important things in the world for me to care about. I will never forget about the ones I love and will work towards a better future for them.

Like what Setsuna said: "I will cut through to the future."

And of course, what's a statement without a song?

JAI HO! - VICTORY!

A Better World

Just finished the final episode of Gundam 00.

For people who think that people who watch Gundam are nerds, think again. This season is really full of meaning and relates to the current world situation that we are facing.

The current world that we are living in is full of turmoil, suffering and challenges. There is hate, terrorism and poverty all around. There are also countries that exist with corruption and they do not work for the peace and happiness of the people.

We are indeed very lucky to live in Singapore. Our government is one of the best in the world and we have one of the highest standards of living around the world. We face virtually no suffering, unlike those in Africa with more than 1 million of children facing starvation. We are able to crave for things like chocolate ice cream, an Iphone or the newest car in town. Other kids around can only hope for enough food to feel their empty tummies.

Can we really live this life knowing that there are others suffering out there?

Why do most people turn a blind eye on the poor and helpless?

Why do people watch the Discovery Channel and sigh at how helpless the poor and malnourished can be and yet forget their existence when they turn off the TV?

Perhaps it is because we cannot really do anything about it.

Or can we?

In my opinion, I believe we can.

As long as we stand together and work towards a better world, we can do something about it.

Like what Saji Crossroad said: "If we really desire world peace, then we have to work for it."

I hope more people will stand up for a better world.

Till then... Perhaps, our children would have a better place to live in.

Unworthy

What is this void inside of me?

It's growing bigger and it's becoming more difficult to ignore?

Why can't I look at everyone straight in the eye just like how I used to?

Why do I feel like I'm not being responsible for my own life?

Why does this feeling of helplessness overtake me?

Why am I drifting myself further from others?

Why do I lose respect from all? Why do I not respect any?

Why am I running away from the things I love?

Why do I wait, sit and wait all day?

Why do all these negative notions get into my head so easily?

Am I becoming weak?

Perhaps instead of becoming a better person, I became a worse person.

Even my closest one said I can't be trusted. She hates me now.

Perhaps I hate myself too.

I have got serious issues now.

I feel it. The way my mind move, the speed, I'm not like them.

But this edge does not seem to give me any joy, or rather, I'm not using it.

I'm just sitting at the doorway of innovation. My mind changes, but my body withers, my soul is tearing itself apart.

Who can save me? I know.

The person is not her, not him.

But me.

I will Innovate.

I will stand, I will move towards the future.

I will lead.

I will change.

Perhaps then one day, I may truely call myself worthy of living.

I hate being sick and I LOVE BLADING :)

Was sick the past week. Have been bogged down by a fever, diarrhoea and stomach cramps 24/7. Lol nearly died but I revived :D Good Old Domi is back!

Anyway have been spending most of my fridays this past month picking up a new sport. Yeah it's rollerblading! Blading is fun because it is a very unique kind of exercise. Kinda funny also. You step on side to side and you miraculously move! Wow haha!

But always fall on your front and not your back. I fell on my back twice and my butt was GG. Goner for sure. I suffered abrasion and couldn't lie or sit properly for a few days! Worse thing is, I had stomach pains also so I couldn't lie on my front also! In the end my sleeping position only confined to one side T.T So always fall on your front! :D

Cowboy on wheels ;)
Who's that girl on the wheels? Swwweeettt!
Damn I seriously look like a boy here -.-
Hand in hand, we skate the path of life together :D
Miss Sunshine always light up my Life :)
The Sunshine Couple
Anyway, it won't be soon before long my classical TEP is over. And it is also time soon to unveil my new website themed "Innovation". I hope you guys would like it. Back to CS powerpoint presentation for now.

(PS: Check out my new picture above submitted to Deviantart! Blue Blue Sky! FOO!

Live 'N' Loaded!

Guess what? Pam and I won tickets to Live 'N' Loaded from 98.7 FM. Awesome!

Rushed down to Caldecott Hill Mediacorp Broadcast Centre in a cab after class. Baby reached there before me. Damn excited to watch all the gigs live!

At this point of time, we were waiting in the Broadcast centre. Though we arrived there at 7:00pm, the show only started at 9 plus. Clara (Pam's sis) and her boyfriend Andrew were supposed to come but lol they were late. But in the end they made it in time.
My playful baby went to change channel for the Plasma tvs that were at the reception at Mediacorp. WTH! In the end get scolded by the receptionist. Lol damn cute.
Finally after waiting for one and a half hours, we got into the studio!
The first gig to be performed was by "The Fire Fight". Damn were they good! They are now currently my 2nd most favourited local band.
The camera uncle damn pro lo. All he did was slide his camera around and all the cool scenes will be captured on TV! Wow!
The Director always stand at the stage behind and direct the show. He damn strict and fierce, don't look like someone who will direct a hip show like this. Lol he threatened to throw one of the audience out for trying to disrupt the filming of the show.
The hosts of the show chatting before the show began after the break.
This English guy can really sing. Their band's called Leeson. Their guitarist is damn pro! I see the speed and way his hand move, awesome man.
My little baby wanted to touch the camera. I was pretty sure that it would earn us a direct ticket outta the show. Lol. But really damn tempted to work this cool device :D
The assistant producer would brief the hosts on what to say before the show. Utt very composed. Confident guy. Lol or else he wouldn't have been interviewed in Men's Health.
The two ladies (Pam and Clara) got asked to stand beside Utt. The assistant producer would ask girls to stand beside Utt before the camera roll. Marketing gimmick huh?
This band is called "Quantum Revival". They are unique because their members all came from different countries. Really respect them cos though they have their own careers, they still come together to make music. Their performance? None other then their own male version of "Rehab" originally by Amy Winehouse. Cool.
Here's a motivation for all poly students cos they look like the next door guai ah beng look alike. They are called "Paranoid Vision". Though they seem very amateurish and the singer don't sing loud enough, I'm sure they will become better in time to come. Jiayou! The song was good!
The cameraman offered me to help film the show! Lol just kidding! The camera just happens to be always in front of me.
Dennis Keller for some reason was at the show. But she only came down for 10 minutes. And yes the real deal looks as good as on the picture.
Next gig in the house was by our very own Singapore talent, Dawn Ho! She sang Batucada which is a jazz song by the way. I liked it alot though I can tell the audience wasn't really into jazz. Long live Jazz!
Who said that the Hip-hop and R&B scene have to be dominated by the Afro-Americans? Asians can do just as good. My favourite local band "Sleeq" proves it. They sang the song "Movie Star". Totally awesome, 5 out of 5 stars. Their voices were always in sync and they had style. Easily better than Lil Wayne or T-pain. I really wish they can make it big cos they are real talent man! Was so inspired by them that I wanna perform in this show too! But forming and keeping a band isn't an easy task. Sleeq totally showed what R&B can do on stage.
Of course what would R&B be without the chicks eh? Sleeq had their own dancers for the songs. The chicks were good dancers but the one in yellow shorts was a little overkill. Her clothes color combination was abit off. But she's a really good dancer.
Utt said something about winning Oasis tickets and caught my attention. Tickets to Oasis, now that's my next destination! ;)
Next band is "Cardinal Avenue" They are a rock band, more of a punk rock genre like Fall Out Boy. I thought they were gonna be average when I saw the guitar of the lead. Lol his guitar strings were frayed and all hanging at the top of the head. But they were good instrumentally. The drummer totally brought the spirit of the song out.
Most of the crowd were moshing each other in the centre. Some got so frustrated that they started to use their elbows. Their friends had to pull them out. Moshing is supposed to be fun not dangerous. So look out. Kept my baby at the sidelines so we did not venture into mosh land lol.
Group picture of me, Pam, Clara and Andrew. We should go out together more often :D
Our friend Paul Twohill! Lol
The two future queens of Caldecott Hill. Zoe watch out!
Lol I have no intention of taking your place Li Nan Xing :X You are a legend!
I swore my baby wanted to take out the "M" and the "C" of the Mediacorp sign at the front. WOAH!
After the gig, all of us travelled down to AMK Hub for a movie. Clara and Andrew caught "Coming Soon" and me and Pam watched "Dragonball". It was crazy watching "Coming Soon" at night! Lol they totally got freaked out. "Dragonball" was fun in the middle of the night and absolutely funny. I thought it was original and funny. And yes the fight scene should have been longer.

To make up for not studying for so long, me and Pammy went down to Starbucks next day to study together. Haha but after a while, studying goes off and we have fun :)

What can I say? You make my life worthwhile. Every single moment with you is an adventure and I never ever have enough time with you. You are my life and I look forward to more adventures with you ;)
