つながり

It's difficult to be in a relationship.

I don't mean BGR. I mean relationships like family and friends.

Yesterday the twins quarreled. And seriously both are important people to me. I hate to do the taking sides thing. So I'm not gonna take sides. All I'm gonna say is it's a misunderstanding, both of you have your reasons, I empathised with both of you, so just talk to each other about it, understand, and then apologise sincerely.

I mean seriously, it all originated from something that was not even of substantial importance at first, it then grew and then boom.

Look at it from the other person's shoes then try to understand. And to one of the twins: The other twin will not know what the hell you're thinking about unless you tell her. Cheer up both of you k? Kiss and make peace or something soon.

As for family, for the record, my sister isn't staying with me. She's staying with some friend cos she has "issues" with my parents. But bloody hell can't she pick up my phone calls?

My Mum of course is still the best in the world :) No doubt about that.

Relationships are really hard to maintain. Even for BGR (don't worry I'm still single). People often forget to express and forget to listen. It's a normal thing. It just comes with being closer. After so much time together, people often expect others to know them and themselves to know alot about the other person.

But this is often not the case. Very often you see a girl being angry at her bf when he forgets she doesn't take coffee or chocolates. It makes sense that she's angry if she told the guy before. But sometimes she also gets angry when he doesn't know that she doesn't like to wear white tees when she has not even told him before. And the reason would be: "Hey we've been together for so long. You should know :("

It's true that people who spend alot of time together get a little telepathic. Me, my ex could do that to each other. But don't take it for granted. A bond with another person requires you to go out of your way to understand a person. If we were that simple to understand, then I must say you are as simple as a rock.

Even a rock contains metamorphic, igneous material, have different gradients and minerals, different colours and structure, different compression pressure and different extremophiles habitating it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, GOOD, cos this shows a rock ain't that simple too.

Understanding a person requires more than a lifetime. Don't expect others to understand you after being together for a few years. Every person is a unique and complex individual. And that's what friendship takes. Spending time to know each other and having fun with each other.

The beauty in a bond lies in not understanding each other completely, it lies in always taking time and constantly understanding an individual. It takes a lifetime. That's what friends are for.

Done with the explanation. Phew...

Anyway Jap word for the day: つながり (Tsunagari) [I know damn random but just feel like doing this.]

Meaning: Bonds, Relationships

Remember: Bonds require effort to maintain. Don't give up!

To my friends: I smile and laugh everyday in school, cos you guys are with me ;)
