Live 'N' Loaded!

Guess what? Pam and I won tickets to Live 'N' Loaded from 98.7 FM. Awesome!

Rushed down to Caldecott Hill Mediacorp Broadcast Centre in a cab after class. Baby reached there before me. Damn excited to watch all the gigs live!

At this point of time, we were waiting in the Broadcast centre. Though we arrived there at 7:00pm, the show only started at 9 plus. Clara (Pam's sis) and her boyfriend Andrew were supposed to come but lol they were late. But in the end they made it in time.
My playful baby went to change channel for the Plasma tvs that were at the reception at Mediacorp. WTH! In the end get scolded by the receptionist. Lol damn cute.
Finally after waiting for one and a half hours, we got into the studio!
The first gig to be performed was by "The Fire Fight". Damn were they good! They are now currently my 2nd most favourited local band.
The camera uncle damn pro lo. All he did was slide his camera around and all the cool scenes will be captured on TV! Wow!
The Director always stand at the stage behind and direct the show. He damn strict and fierce, don't look like someone who will direct a hip show like this. Lol he threatened to throw one of the audience out for trying to disrupt the filming of the show.
The hosts of the show chatting before the show began after the break.
This English guy can really sing. Their band's called Leeson. Their guitarist is damn pro! I see the speed and way his hand move, awesome man.
My little baby wanted to touch the camera. I was pretty sure that it would earn us a direct ticket outta the show. Lol. But really damn tempted to work this cool device :D
The assistant producer would brief the hosts on what to say before the show. Utt very composed. Confident guy. Lol or else he wouldn't have been interviewed in Men's Health.
The two ladies (Pam and Clara) got asked to stand beside Utt. The assistant producer would ask girls to stand beside Utt before the camera roll. Marketing gimmick huh?
This band is called "Quantum Revival". They are unique because their members all came from different countries. Really respect them cos though they have their own careers, they still come together to make music. Their performance? None other then their own male version of "Rehab" originally by Amy Winehouse. Cool.
Here's a motivation for all poly students cos they look like the next door guai ah beng look alike. They are called "Paranoid Vision". Though they seem very amateurish and the singer don't sing loud enough, I'm sure they will become better in time to come. Jiayou! The song was good!
The cameraman offered me to help film the show! Lol just kidding! The camera just happens to be always in front of me.
Dennis Keller for some reason was at the show. But she only came down for 10 minutes. And yes the real deal looks as good as on the picture.
Next gig in the house was by our very own Singapore talent, Dawn Ho! She sang Batucada which is a jazz song by the way. I liked it alot though I can tell the audience wasn't really into jazz. Long live Jazz!
Who said that the Hip-hop and R&B scene have to be dominated by the Afro-Americans? Asians can do just as good. My favourite local band "Sleeq" proves it. They sang the song "Movie Star". Totally awesome, 5 out of 5 stars. Their voices were always in sync and they had style. Easily better than Lil Wayne or T-pain. I really wish they can make it big cos they are real talent man! Was so inspired by them that I wanna perform in this show too! But forming and keeping a band isn't an easy task. Sleeq totally showed what R&B can do on stage.
Of course what would R&B be without the chicks eh? Sleeq had their own dancers for the songs. The chicks were good dancers but the one in yellow shorts was a little overkill. Her clothes color combination was abit off. But she's a really good dancer.
Utt said something about winning Oasis tickets and caught my attention. Tickets to Oasis, now that's my next destination! ;)
Next band is "Cardinal Avenue" They are a rock band, more of a punk rock genre like Fall Out Boy. I thought they were gonna be average when I saw the guitar of the lead. Lol his guitar strings were frayed and all hanging at the top of the head. But they were good instrumentally. The drummer totally brought the spirit of the song out.
Most of the crowd were moshing each other in the centre. Some got so frustrated that they started to use their elbows. Their friends had to pull them out. Moshing is supposed to be fun not dangerous. So look out. Kept my baby at the sidelines so we did not venture into mosh land lol.
Group picture of me, Pam, Clara and Andrew. We should go out together more often :D
Our friend Paul Twohill! Lol
The two future queens of Caldecott Hill. Zoe watch out!
Lol I have no intention of taking your place Li Nan Xing :X You are a legend!
I swore my baby wanted to take out the "M" and the "C" of the Mediacorp sign at the front. WOAH!
After the gig, all of us travelled down to AMK Hub for a movie. Clara and Andrew caught "Coming Soon" and me and Pam watched "Dragonball". It was crazy watching "Coming Soon" at night! Lol they totally got freaked out. "Dragonball" was fun in the middle of the night and absolutely funny. I thought it was original and funny. And yes the fight scene should have been longer.

To make up for not studying for so long, me and Pammy went down to Starbucks next day to study together. Haha but after a while, studying goes off and we have fun :)

What can I say? You make my life worthwhile. Every single moment with you is an adventure and I never ever have enough time with you. You are my life and I look forward to more adventures with you ;)
